Welcome to Harrisburg University! As part of your onboarding, all new graduate students are required to complete a mandatory online orientation designed to help you start your academic journey with confidence.

Orientation Overview

  1. Graduate Student Orientation Course (Asynchronous)
    • Delivered through Canvas, our learning management system, this self-paced course can be completed on your own schedule - just like your regular class assignments.
    • Provides essential information and resources to help you succeed at HU.
  2. Live Virtual Welcome Event (Synchronous)
    • Hosted by the International Student Office and delivered through Microsoft Teams for students enrolled in the Executive Format (14-week semester) program.
    • This live session mirrors the format of your virtual classes and offers a chance to connect with the HU staff and peers in real time.
  3. Virtual Meet and Greet with Program Leads and Faculty (Synchronous)
    • Hosted by the Office of Student Success a few days before the first Executive Saturday and delivered through Microsoft Teams for all new master's and doctoral program students.
    • This live session brings together Program Leads, Faculty, and new students in an informal virtual setting.

Please note: There is no in-person orientation. You are not required to report to campus for any part of the orientation process.

All orientation components are critical to your successful enrollment and will ensure you're well-prepared for your graduate studies at HU.
